Helping Identity Thieves

I just read this post from Sweet Mummy on her blog “It’s OK to be Weird.” She shows how filling out a supposedly innocent email or internet questionnaire can give identity thieves plenty of ammunition against you.

I thought it was a great reminder to be very careful about what kind of information you post online and forward in emails.

(Just a reminder for all of you who know my real name and location: I try to keep semi-anonymous on here, so please keep comments free of identifying information, such as names of places near our home, last names, etc.)

I think if people really want to find our info they can, but it is a good idea to be careful with what we do share.
